HOW OUR VERIFICATION PROCESS WORKS

At NeonMegastore.com, we follow a thorough and reliable verification process to ensure that we provide contact lenses only in accordance with valid prescriptions. Here's how it works:

1. The Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act: This Act grants consumers certain rights, imposes responsibilities on contact lens prescribers and sellers, and mandates the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to enforce implementing rules. The Contact Lens Rule, issued by the FTC in July 2004, outlines the requirements of the Act.

2. Obtaining Your Prescription: As per the Contact Lens Rule, after a contact lens fitting, your prescriber is obliged to provide you with a copy of your contact lens prescription, even if you didn't request it. This empowers you to shop around and purchase contact lenses from different sellers.

3. Presenting or Verifying the Prescription: When you want to buy contact lenses from us, you have two options to fulfill the prescription requirement:

a. Direct Presentation: You can present your prescription to us through email or Whatsapp. We accept valid prescriptions through these channels only.

b. Verification Process: Alternatively, you can authorize us to verify your prescription by directly communicating with your prescriber. To facilitate this process, we utilize a system called 'Approve My Prescription'.

4. 'Approve My Prescription' System: Our shipping process incorporates the 'Approve My Prescription' system to streamline prescription verification. This system initiates direct communication with your prescriber, requesting verification of your prescription.

5. Information Shared with Your Prescriber: When communicating with your prescriber, our system provides them with the following order information:

- Your full name and address
- Contact lens details: power, manufacturer, base curve or appropriate designation, and diameter (if applicable)
- Quantity of lenses ordered
- Date and time of your order
- Date and time of the verification request

6. Verification Confirmation: Your prescription is considered verified when your prescriber:

- Confirms its accuracy to us through direct communication.
- Informs us of any inaccuracies and provides correct information via direct communication.
- Fails to respond to our complete verification request within "eight business hours" of receiving it. A business hour is defined as one hour between 09:00 am and 17:00 pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), in your prescriber's time zone.

By adhering to the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act and implementing a robust verification process, we ensure that you receive contact lenses in compliance with the necessary prescriptions, maintaining your eye health and safety.

Please note that our commitment to fulfilling prescription requirements is applicable to both non-prescription lenses (e.g., costume, fancy dress) and prescription contact lenses (e.g., corrective, anti-fatigue).
